Sarah Brunner, 86, Dies on Wednesday; Services Saturday
Prairie City – Mrs. Sarah (Sally) Brunner, 86, of Prairie City, a lifelong resident of Jasper County, died Wednesday at Des Moines General Hospital in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Walters Funeral Home in Prairie City.
The Rev. Walter Goughnour, minister of the Prairie City Christian Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Vandalia Cemetery.
Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Grace Brunner of Prairie City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Frances (Frank) Brunner in June 1934 and a son.
Mrs. Brunner was a member of the Prairie City Christian Church and the Rebekah Lodge of Prairie City.
The daughter of Robert L. and Maria Anderson, she was born June 3, 1880 at Vandalia.
She was married to John Francis (Frank) Brunner Dec. 28, 1898.
A lifelong resident of Jasper County, she resided in the Colfax, Vandalia and Prairie City communities.
