Lucy W. Riggall Services Held at Ira Church Today
Ira – Funeral services for Mrs. Charles (Lucy Willits) Riggall, 87, a longtime resident of Ira, were held this afternoon at the Ira Methodist Church.
The Rev. T. A. Thompson, minister of the Baxter Congregational United Church of Christ, conducted the services. Burial was in Union Chapel Cemetery.
Boyd-Nickell Funeral Home at Baxter was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Riggall died Sunday morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. Maude Hall, at Bondurant. She had resided at her sister’s home since Dec. 1.
Survivors are a son, Tom R. Willits of Laurel; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Hall, Mrs. Daisy Edwards and Mrs. Fanny Edwards, both of Des Moines.
The daughter of William and Clara Zimmerman, she was born May 11, 1879 in Richland County, Kan., and came to Jasper County as a child.
She was married to John C. Willits Dec. 24, 1902. Mr. Willits died in 1937.
She was married to Charles Riggall Sept. 30, 1947. He also preceded her in death.
