COLFAX — Gilbert R. "Bobo" Sickora, 63, of Colfax died Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax. Burial will be at the Colfax Cemetery. Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax is handling arrangements.

Visitation will be held Friday at the Howard Street Christian Church from 2 to 8 p.m. The family will be at the church from 6 until 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Gilbert R. Sickora Memorial Fund.

The son of Nick and Frances Plonty Sickora, he was born June 21, 1941, in Eau Claire, Wis. He worked for the railroad for several years and the City of Colfax in the maintenance department before his retirement. He was united in marriage to Rhonda Miller on May 29, 1988, in Colfax. He was a member of the Skunk River Valley C.B. Club.

Survivors include his wife of Colfax; a son, Timothy of Colfax; a daughter, Tamara Bretz of Newton; one granddaughter; four sisters, Margaret Hird-Fishell of Fort Collins, Colo., Mary Power of Runnells, Lois Powell of Kirksville, Mo., and Nancy Hadsall of Colfax; and a brother, Richard Sickora of Altoona.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Tony.
