Lee Roy Shadley, 76, of Newton died Monday, June 6, 2005, in his apartment in Newton.

No services are planned. Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton handled arrangements.

The son of Cecil E. and Florence (Callister) Shadley, he was born Sept. 1, 1928, in Colfax. He served in the U.S. Army for 20 years and worked for 25 years in the factory at Maytag.

Survivors include a daughter, Robin Mudd of Spokane, Wash.; two sons, Mark Shadley of Reasnor and Terry Shadley of Texas; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Lucille Gaskill of Mitchellville and Dara Lee Price of Texas City, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and six brothers.
