Marjorie (Hook) Seeley, 88, of Joshua Tree, Calif., formerly of Newton, died Saturday, May 7, 2005, in Joshua Tree.

Services were held in Joshua Tree, Calif.

The daughter of Leola Joyce and Harold Hook, she was born Jan. 16, 1917, in Newton. She graduated from Newton Senior High School in 1935.

Mrs. Seeley is survived by her husband, Robert Seeley; a son, Richard Seeley of Joshua Tree, Calif.; a granddaughter; sister, Mary Elizabeth of Tarzana, Calif.; and a niece; and two nephews.

She is preceded in death by her second-born son, Bobby.
