Funeral Is Friday For 9-Year-Old Former Resident
Baxter (Special) – Funeral services for Marilyn Yoakum Entwhistle, 9, former Jasper county girl who was fatally injured in a fall from a moving car Saturday evening in San Diego, Cal., will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Mingo Methodist church.
The young girl died early Sunday morning after she fell out of the family car when a door accidentally swung open Saturday evening.
Marilyn was born Sept. 3, 1943, at Colfax. She lived in the Mingo and Colfax area and attended first and second grades at Mingo until her parents moved to San Diego in 1951. He was in the third grade there when she did.
Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Conley Entwhistle; her sister, Diana Yoakum Entwhistle; two half-sisters, Connie Jo and Vicki Leah Entwhistle; and a half-brother, Conley Wayne Entwhistle Jr., all of San Diego.
Her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lee Utley, live at Mingo, her paternal grandfather, Morris Yoakum, lives in Des Moines, and her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Anna Sazovic, is in Cleveland, Ohio.
Marilyn’s body will arrive at the Boyd-Nickell Funeral Home in Baxter today. She will be taken to Mingo Methodist church at 10 a.m. Friday to lie in state until the funeral. Burial will be in Greencastle cemetery near Mingo.
The girl was a member of the Methodist church and of a Brownie Girl Scout troop in San Diego.

Child Killed
Mingo (AP) – Funeral services were to be held here Friday for Marilyn Yoakum Entwistle, 9, fatally injured in an automobile accident near San Diego, Calif., last Saturday. The child fell from her parents’ car.
