Mingo Rites for Orletta Hays 75, Conducted Mon.
Mingo (Special) – Funeral services for Mrs. Orletta Hays, 75, resident of the Mingo area most of her life who died Saturday, were held Monday afternoon at the Mingo Methodist church. Burial was in Ashton Chapel cemetery.
Mrs. Hays lived all of her life, with the exception of 15 years spent in Wisconsin, in the Mingo vicinity. She suffered from a malignancy for several years and died in Hampton at the home of a daughter.
Mrs. Hays was the widow of Charles Edward Hays.
Survivors include 10 children, Mrs. Myrtle Eatwell of Hampton, Harry at Farrar, Mrs. Pansy Munson of Cambridge, Mrs. Emma Myers of Maxwell, Dot and Lenora of Phoenix, Ariz., Floyd and Ralph of Spooner, Wis., Charlie of Mingo and Donald, who is in the Air Force in Puerto Rico.
Rev. Jonathan Drake was in charge of the rites. Music was by a quartet, Eldon Geisler, Mrs. Howard Southern, Mrs. Lou Neal and Otha Hulse with Mrs. Dale Harter as accompanist.
