Funeral Services For Mrs. Logan To Be In Colfax
Colfax – Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Logan, 78, life-time resident of Jasper county, will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Methodist church in Colfax.
Rev. Floyd Shepherd, pastor of the Colfax Methodist church, will officiate at the services and burial will be in Kintz cemetery, west of Baxter.
Mrs. Logan died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday at the home of her son, Fred Logan, in Colfax.
She is survived by a son, Fred of Colfax, a daughter, Mrs. William Lewis, of Colfax; two brothers, Curtis M. Connelly of Yakima, Wash., and A. R. Connelly of East Pleasant Plaine, Ia.; nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
The daughter of Henry and Mary Connelly, Mrs. Logan was born Oct. 10, 1874 at Clyde and received her early education in the Baxter schools. She was married on Nov. 25, 1897 at Baxter to Charles D. Logan.
Mr. Logan farmed in the Colfax and Baxter communities for many years and in the early 1930’s was a drayman in Colfax. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in 1936, four brothers and three sisters.
