Albert F. Sieg, 67, Dies at Ira Home Last Night
Ira (Special) – Albert F. Sieg, 67, resident of Jasper county for the past 34 years, died at his home in Ira at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday after suffering a heart attack.
A prayer service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Boyd-Nickell Funeral Home in Baxter, and funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. at the Congregational Christian church in Baxter. The Rev. Harry E. Boughey will officiate at the services and burial will be at Restland cemetery.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Elmer, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Forrest (Eleanor) Sandrock, Mrs. John (Lois) Taylor and Mrs. James (Anna Mae) Reed, all of Newton; three sisters, Mrs. Lena Scharman of Howard, S.D., Mrs. Anna Brandseier of Waukon and Mrs. Emma Diehl of Grinnell; and three brothers, Henry Sieg of Oaks, S.D., and Herman and John Sieg of Waukon.
The son of Henry and Alvine Sieg, he was born Jan. 8, 1886 at Waterville, Ia. Mr. Sieg resided in Waterville until 1920, receiving his education in rural schools in that area, before moving to Baxter.
Mr. Sieg was married to Ella Meta Exter at the Baxter Congregational church Jan. 2, 1922. He farmed in the Baxter, Ira community until 1936 when he moved to Ira, his residence since that time. He was employed as a carpenter.

Sieg Rites Held At Baxter Church
Ira (Special) – Funeral services for Albert F. Sieg, 67, resident of Jasper county for the past 34 years, were held at 2 p.m. today at the Congregational Christian church at Baxter.
The Rev. Harry E. Boughey officiated at the services and burial was at Restland cemetery at Baxter. Preceding the church services, a prayer service was held at the Boyd-Nickell Funeral Home in Baxter.
Mrs. Donnell Deutsch, the organist, accompanied the vocalists Mrs. Arthur Dodd and Mrs. Cecil Weeks.
In charge of flowers were Mrs. Raymond Loynachan, Mrs. Frank Rippey and Mrs. Hale Nickell.
Pallbearers were Lloyd Thomas, Charles Koon, Henry DeReus, Raymond Loynachan, Gilman Castor and Frank Rippey.
