Annis, Phyllis Jean

COLFAX- Phyllis Jean Kentz Annis, 61, of Colfax, long time Colfax resident, died Monday, Nov. 6th, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax.

The Rev. John Mc Kinstry pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Colfax Cemetery.

Friends may call the Walters Colburn funeral home in Colfax after noon Wednesday. Family visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Survivors are her husband, Morris “Mick”; a son David Lee stationed with the navy at Pearl Harbor, Honolulu, Hawaii, two daughters, Donna (Mrs. Larry) Ford of Monroe, and Nancy (Mrs. Emory) Ahn of Colfax. Nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers Charles Kintz of Waterloo, Robert Kintz of Downiville, Calif.; Clyde Kintz of Eseondido, Calif.; and David Kintz of San Mateo, Calif.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, a son, Richard, a great-grandson, Larry Ford Jr., and five brothers.

Mrs. Annis was a long time Maytag Co. employee before her retirement. The daughter of James Ora and Margaret Kintz, she was born Jan. 18,1928 in Durham.

She was married to Morris “Mick” Annis Sept. 14,1946 in Baxter.
