BAXTER — Evelyn Pyle, 95, of Baxter died Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at Baxter Care Center.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the Baxter Congregational United Church of Christ. Burial will follow services at the Restland Cemetery in Baxter.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church Friday. Memorial contributions may be directed in her name to her family.

The daughter of Edward and Ida Orr, she was born Jan. 5, 1910, in Baxter. She was raised and educated in Baxter and graduated from Baxter High School. On Feb. 26, 1929, she married Loren Pyle. Following their marriage, they made their home in Baxter. During her lifetime, she worked for the Baxter Mercantile and Baxter school, where she served lunches to students. Mrs. Pyle was a member of the Baxter Congregational United Church of Christ, where she was active with the Women's Fellowship.

She is survived by a son, Gary Pyle of Baxter; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mildred Van Dyke of Minot, N.D.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; a son, Jim; daughter-in-law, Carol Pyle; five brothers; and four sisters.
