CANTON, Mich. — Lynn C. (Butin) Mitchell, 60, of Canton, Mich., formerly of Monroe, died Saturday, April 9, 2005, in Michigan.

Graveside services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Hewitt Cemetery in Monroe. Following the service, there will be a luncheon at the Monroe United Methodist Church starting at 11:30 a.m. Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe is handling arrangements.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Monroe United Methodist Church. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. For those desiring, memorials may be directed to her church, New Hope Church in Michigan, and mailed to Walters-Coburn Funeral Home at 602 N. Commerce Street, Monroe 50170.

The daughter of Claire and Bernice (Renaud) Butin, she was born Oct. 3, 1944, in Lake Wales, Fla.

She is survived by her husband, Gene Mitchell of Canton, Mich.; five children, Lance C. Young and his wife Jennifer, Chad D. Young and his wife Tori, Timothy G. Mitchell, Deanna S. Rich and her husband Gary and Paul Mitchell and his wife Kimberlee; 14 grandchildren; her parents, Claire and Bernice Butin of Monroe; one brother; and one sister.
