MARSHALLTOWN — Ardys D. Lukehart, 74, of Southridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Marshalltown died Thursday, March 10, 2005, at the Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Laurel United Methodist Church. Burial will follow services at Graceland Cemetery in Laurel. Pursel-Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Marshalltown is handling arrangements.

Visitation will be held Saturday from noon until the time of the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be directed in her name to her family.

The daughter of Alfred and Helen (Meyer-Huyck) Beinfang, she was born Nov. 28, 1930, in Grundy Center. She was raised and educated in the Iowa Falls and Cedar Falls areas. She graduated from the Cedar Falls Campus High School. Following her high school graduation, she went on to complete her schooling at the Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls and business college at the Gates Business School in Waterloo. During her lifetime, she worked as an assistant librarian in Cedar Falls and Newton and as a postal worker in the Laurel and Gilman areas. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, needlepoint and crocheting. She was a member of the Laurel United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Lukehart is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Myra DeRae and Daniel Kerns of Vinton; a stepson and daughter-in-law, David Michael and Cindy Lukehart of Waukee; a brother and sister-in-law, Homer and Patricia Bienfang of Clear Lake; a sister and brother-in-law, Rochelle and John Dungan of Newton; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a twin sister, Ardelle Deloris.
