Mrs. Balmer Dies at 45

Succumbs In Local Hospital After Long Illness; Rites Wednesday

Mrs. June M. (Robinson) Balmer, 45-year old wife of Harry Balmer of near Newton, succumbed at 11: 22 last evening in Skiff Memorial hospital of a malignant disease.

Mrs. Balmer had been in failing health for three years and had been confined to her home for the last five months. Sunday her condition became critical and Monday at 9:35 a. m. she was admitted as a patient to the local hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Morgan Funeral home with Dr. E. P. Gabriel, pastor of the First Christian Church of which she was a member, officiating. Interment will be in Our Silent City Cemetery at Kellogg.

The third of a family of four children of William Robinson and the late Laura Woody Robinson, she was born Oct. 31, 1898 on a farm in Pleasant View neighborhood southeast of Reasnor and had spent her entire life in Jasper county.

On Jan. 28, 1920, she was united in marriage to Harry Balmer. The couple started housekeeping four miles east of Newton, where they had continued to live.

A son, Morris, was born to the union on August 8, 1921, and died at the age of six month at the age of six months. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her father of Baxter; a brother, Earl of Collins; a sister, Mrs. Founte Perin of Baxter, and by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Balmer was a member of the American Legion auxiliary.
