Rev. Elton Bell, Former County Resident, Dies

The Rev. Elton Bell, 47, formerly of Jasper County, died Saturday morning at his home at Union, Mo.

The Rev. Mr. Bell was electrocuted while installing an antenna on the roof of his home.

Graveside rites will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Our Silent City Cemetery in Kellogg.

The Rev. WiIIiam Hamilton, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church in Newton, will conduct the services.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Assembly of God Church at Union, Mo.

Survivors are his wife, LaVonne; a son, Richard at home; a daughter, Regena, who teaches at Wyaconda, Mo.; three sisters, Mrs. Milton (Lena) Strovers and Mrs. Walter (Edna) Gifford, both of Newton and Emma Bell of New Castle, Ind.

The Rev. Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mrs. Vernon (Melvina) Sharp of Kellogg and a brother, Hubert.

The son of Fulton and Dora Bell, he was born Mar. 15, 1928 in Newton and attended Kellogg schools and North Central Bible College at Minneapolis, Minn.

The Rev. Mr. Bell was on the national staff of Assembly of God Church.

He was married to LaVonne Boid Aug. 29, 1948 at Wolf Point, Mont.
