MONROE — Larry Jefferson, 58, of Monroe died Friday, March 11, 2005, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Memorial services will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines. Burial will be at Jordan Cemetery in West Des Moines.

Memorials may be sent to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church in Ames. He enjoyed traveling, reading, playing cards and cribbage.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jefferson of Monroe; a son, Brad Jefferson of Newton; a daughter, Kelly Tripp of West Des Moines; a sister, Linda Jensen of Stewart, Va.; his mother and step-father, Rosemary and Don Morgan of Des Moines; a granddaughter; a grandson; and an uncle.
