BAXTER — Elizabeth Inglis, 90, of Baxter, formerly of Colfax, died Monday, April 4, 2005, at the Baxter Health Care Center in Baxter.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. Burial will be at McKeever Cemetery in rural Colfax.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Memorials left in her name will be used for local senior citizen centers.

The daughter of Richard and Elizabeth (Rowley) Williams Sr., she was born July 23, 1914, in Colfax. On June 9, 1931, she married Howard E. Inglis in Newton. She was a bookkeeper for D&P Lumber in Mingo. She enjoyed quilting, camping, gardening, fishing, and wintering in Texas.

Mrs. Inglis was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Newton. A lifelong resident of Jasper County, she lived in Ira, Mingo and Colfax.

Survivors include two grandsons and their spouses, Kurt and Sharolyn Crozier and Rick and Val Crozier, all of Mingo; five great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Shirley Uhlenhopp of Newton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Kenneth E. Inglis; a daughter, Delores Anne, in infancy; an infant grandson; an infant great-granddaughter; four brothers and two sisters.
