TIPTON -- Norma K. Flora, 61, of Tipton, formerly of Newton, died of a lingering illness Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005, at her home.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax with the Rev. Larry Wegener officiating. Burial will be at Colfax Cemetery. Fry Funeral Home in Tipton is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be held Friday at 11 a.m. until the time of the service at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. Memorials will be accepted to the Norma Flora Fund.

The daughter of Robert Hopkins and Arlene Stoner, she was born March 4, 1943, in Newton. She attended Colfax schools and worked as a ranch hand. She was a member of Calvary Foursquare Church in Tipton.

Survivors include a daughter, Tammy Sample of Des Moines; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Scott Flora of Fort Madison, Bart Flora and Danny and Annette Flora, all of Tipton; two grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Talbot of Grinnell, Katheryn Fults of Cedar Rapids and Judy Larson of Winona, Minn.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Fred and Naomi Petrie and Raymond Hopkins, all of Kellogg, and Joe and Linda Hopkins of Georgetown, Texas; and her step-mother, Rachael Evans of Kellogg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ronald, and a son, Brett.
