Kathryn G. Fields, age 80, of Colfax, passed away on February 12, 2005 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.

Funeral services for Kathryn will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. A morning visitation will precede the service from 9:00 until 11:00am at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Colfax Cemetery.

Friends and family wishing to give memorial donations may designate them to the Kathryn G. Fields Memorial Fund.

Kathryn was born May 12, 1924, the daughter of Minnie and Herbert Corbett. She graduated from Newton High School in 1943. Shortly after completing school, in 1944, Kathryn was united in marriage to Wilbur Fields near Colfax, Iowa. To this union, six sons were born. Throughout her life, Kathryn cherished her family above all else, so her work as a homemaker was a labor of love. She was a wonderful woman, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Kathryn is survived by her five sons: Gary of Branson, MO, Gerold of Prairie City, IA, Michael of Colfax, IA, David of Council Bluffs, IA, and Douglas of Colfax, IA, as well as their families. Eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren will dearly miss her.

Her parents, her loving husband, an infant son, one brother, and four sisters preceded her in death.
