COLFAX - Tim Rogers, 47, of Colfax died Saturday, Jan. 17, at his home.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax with the Rev. Marvin Potter officiating. The body has been cremated, and burial will be in the Colfax Cemetery at a later date.

Friends may call Wednesday after 2 p.m. at the funeral home where the family will be available from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials will be accepted to the Tim Rogers Memorial Fund.

The son of Harold W. "Red" and Juanita (McPeek) Rogers, he was born April 1, 1956, in Des Moines. He graduated from Colfax High School in 1974 and lived in the Colfax area most of his life. He drove a truck for Merchant Distribution in Des Moines. Tim enjoyed tinkering on the farm and especially enjoyed his horses.

Survivors include his mother of Ankeny; a brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Rosann Rogers of Slater; a sister, Kelli Rogers of Omaha, Neb.; and two nephews, four nieces and five great nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father and an infant sister, Julie.
