WEST DES MOINES -- Kevin Paul Riley, 26, of West Des Moines, formerly of Newton, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, in Waterloo.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Hearth Catholic Church in Newton with the Rev. Ernest Braida officiating. Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery. Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton is handling arrangements.

Visitation: Friends may call after 5 P.M., Friday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The family will greet friends following a 7 P.M. Vigil on Friday, February 20, 2004, February 20, 2004 at McCann Center at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Funeral Service: 11 A.M., Saturday, February 21, 2004 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church

Interment: at Newton Union Cemetery

Those left to honor Kevin's memory are his parents, Tom and Nancy Riley of Newton; brother, Michael Riley of Washington D.C.; and his aunts and uncles, Mary Pat and Jim McQuillan of Dover, Ohio, JoAnne and Steve Kilb of Carrboro, North Carolina, Kathy and Tim Riley of Tipp City, Ohio, Eileen and Ralph Weed of Dayton, Ohio, Karen and Al Aufman of Pittsburgh, PA, Martha and Richard Foster of West Des Moines, IA, and Judy Kniepkamp of Oxnard, CA.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Anne Riley and paternal grandparetns, Kenneth and Ella Foster.

Kevin graduated from Newton High School in 1996 and receivfed his Bachelor of Business Adminsitration from the University of Notre Dame.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Eagle Scout, Notre Dame Club of Des Moines Notre Dame Marching Band.

Memorials to Boy Scout Troop 354 and teh Notre Dame Club of Des Moines Scholarship Fund.
Visitation will be held Friday after 5 p.m. at the church and a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. The family will greet friends from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the McCann Center at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a coffee time. Memorials will be accepted to Boy Scout Troop 354 and the Notre Dame Club of Des Moines Scholarship Fund.

The son of Thomas J. and Nancy J. (Foster) Riley, he was born Jan. 21, 1978, in Newton. He graduated from Newton Senior High school in 1996 and received a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Notre Dame. He was a resident of West Des Moines since December 2000. He worked as a staff auditor for the State of Iowa since May 2000. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, an Eagle Scout, and a member of Notre Dame Club of Des Moines and Notre Dame Marching Band.

Survivors include his parents; a brother, Michael Riley of Washington, D.C.; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Anne Riley, and his paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Ella Foster.
