VALERIA -- Winona Maxine Poulson, 75, of Valeria, died Thursday, January 22, 2004 at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax with the Rev. Duane Skidmore officiating. Burial will be at Greencastle Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Sunday after noon at the funeral home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorials will be accpeted to the Winona M. Poulson Memorial Fund.

The daughter of Martin and Clara (Herrington) Born, she was born May 29, 1928, in Kalamazoo, Mich. She attended school in Augusta, Mich. On Oct. 26, 1945, she married Lester Poulson Jr. She moved with her family to Valeria in 1955. She enjoyed collectibles and gardening.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Vern Oldsen and Deborah and Ron Herbrandt, all of Valeria; four sons and a daughter-in-law, Nichols and Marian of Mingo, Richard of Valeria, Theodore of Mitchellville and Thomas of Mingo; 18 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Roma Fuller and Lolene Carter, both of Michigan; and three brothers, Martin Born Sr., Richard Born and Donald Born, also all of Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, a brother and her companion, Raymond Van Dusseldorp.
