COLFAX -- John Henry Dick, 62, of Colfax died of cancer Wednesday, Dec. 31, at his home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Elliott officiating. Burial will be at Colfax Cemetery.

Friends may call today at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax where the family will be available from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials will be accepted to Howard Street Christian Church.

The son of Carl and Lucille (Surber) Dick, he was born Oct. 31, 1941, in Gary, Ind. He graduated from Colfax High School in 1960 and served in the United States Army for three years. He worked for Maytag for 25 years. On Jan. 14, 1967, he married Carolyn Marcsisak in Colfax. He was a member of Howard Street Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Jay Howard Dick of Washington, D.C.; and a brother, Jim Dick of Protage, Ind.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
