Florence Audriene Craig, 100, of USA Healthcare died Sunday, Jan. 18, of respiratory failure.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton with the Rev. Ernest Braida officiating. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Georgetown. Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton is handling arrangements.

A wake service will be held today at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Memorials will be accepted to the church.

The daughter of Patrick O'Connor and Katherine Coughlin, she was born Oct. 11. 1903, in Melrose. She attended Melrose school and married Robert Emmet Craig in Melrose. She worked in the assembly department for the Maytag and Vernon companies, was owner of a restaurant and lounge, owned the Home Nest Apartments for 40 years and helped raise her grandchildren. She was the oldest member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She formerly lived in Chariton and became a resident of Newton in 1942.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Kay McConell; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Jeanette; three brothers; 10 sisters; and one grandson.
