CANTON, Ga. -- Julie Lea Paschal, 48, of Canton, Ga., formerly of Newton, died of cancer Thursday, Dec. 4, at Tranquility House in Austell, Ga.

Memorial services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Newton at from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday. Huey Funeral Home in Canton, Ga. is handling arrangements.

Visitation with the family will be from 9:30 a.m., the time of the funeral at the church. Memorials may be made to Tranquility Hospice, 4040 Hospital West Dr. Austell, Ga. 30106-8117.

Julie graduated from Newton Senior High School in 1973 and from Northeast Missouri State in 1979 with a degree in human resources. She worked for Hutson Realty and most recently for Eason Realty, She was a realtor selling new homes in sud-divisions.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Dorothy Jeanne Paschal Rhodes and Luther Henry Rhodes of Tucson, Ariz.; three sisters, Jackie (Mrs. Norman) Kool of Cedar Rapids, Paula Meyer of Des Moines, and Beth Current of Marietta, Ga.; seven nieces and nephews; and eleven great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Paschal.
