Herman C. Moore, 81, of Baxter, formerly of Reasnor, died Friday, Dec. 19, at Baxter Healthcare in Baxter.

A private graveside service will be held. Wallace Family Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home where the family will be available for viewing and a coffee time.

Burial will be at Lincoln Cemetery in Knoxville. Memorials will be accepted to Ashton Chapel of Belle Fountain Cemetery and may be left at the funeral home.

The son of Herman C. and Ada (Garden) Moore, he was born May 29, 1923, in Marion County. Mr. Moore attended school in Tracey, and he lived in Harvey, Tracey and Newton prior to moving to Reasnor. He married Bessie M. Severns on March 17, 1956, in Newton. Mr. Moore was a truck driver for most of his life and later was self-employed in bicycle sales and repair in Reasnor.

He was preceded in death by his parents and is wife in 1998.
