SULLY -- Triny Jansen, 94, of Sully died Friday, Nov. 28, at Pella Regional Health Center in Pella.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Sully Christian Reformed Church with the Rev. Jack Gray officiating. Burial will be at Sully Cemetery.

Friends may call today at the Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home in Pella where the family will be present from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Memorials will be accepted to the Bible League or "Back to God Hour." The family invites the friends and relatives to return to the basement of the Sully Christian Reformed Church following the burial service.

The daughter of Dick and Anna (Hoksbergen) Van Wyk, she was born Sept. 14, 1909, in rural Sully. She attended the Dairy Grove Country Grade School in Jasper County until the sixth grade, when she attended the Sully Christian Grade School finishing the eighth grade. At the age of four her parents moved the family to a farm southwest of Sully. Triny made her home with her parents helping her mother with household duties as well as other neighboring farm families. She did this until Jan. 28, 1931, when she married Cornelius E. Jansen in Sully. Cornie and Triny continued to farm his parent's farmstead following their marriage until 1970 when they retired and moved to Sully. They both lived in this home the remainder of their lifetimes. She was active at church and taking care of her home and family. Triny lived at home until her health needs required more advanced attention and she went to the Pella Regional Health Center in Pella.

Survivors include her three children and their spouses, Lilburn and Geneva Jansen of New Sharon, Charlene and Kenneth Van Maanen of Sully and Marchlle Jansen of Pella; her daughter-in-law, Lois and John Lanser of Pella; seven grandchildren; six step- grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 20 step-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-great-grandchildren.
