PELLA - Helen Beatrice Holdsworth, 95, of Pella, formerly of Sully, died of heart failure Monday, Dec. 30, 2002, at Pella Regional Health Center Long Term Care in Pella. Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Sully. Burial will be at Sully Cemetery in Sully. Memorials will be accepted to Hospice of Pella.

The daughter of Frank and Kate (Kooistra) Elscott, she was born Jan. 10, 1907, in Sully. She was married to Ralph Byrl Holdsworth and was a teacher and bookkeeper. She attended the Methodist Church in Killduff and enjoyed reading her Bible and attending Sunday school. She was a resident of Pella for 13 years.

Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Donald "Barry" and Marge Elscott of Newton and two nephews and four nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and three sisters.
