Martha Rae Hildebrand, 77, of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., formerly of Newton, died Monday, Nov. 10, at her home.

Memorial services were held Saturday at the Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home in Lake Havasu City. The family requests that donations be made in her name to Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ, 86405.

The daughter of Oscar Raymond and Faye Shannon, she was born June 25, 1926 in Rockwell City. She was a "war bride," marrying William Hildebrand in 1943. After the war she worked to support her husband through medical school in Des Moines. They moved to Phoenix, Ariz. in 1955 and then to Parker, Ariz. in 1958 where she worked with her husband in their medical practice for more than 30 years. They later moved to Needles, Calif. and Susanville, Calif., where they retired in 1989. They moved to Lake Havasu City, Ariz. in 1990. She enjoyed decorating, antique shopping, yardsales and working in her garden.

Survivors include four children, sons Bill of Lake Havasu City, Ariz; Bob of Janesville,
Calif.; daughters Marsha Gardner of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; and Marla Gomez of Janesville, Calif; an aunt Wilma Thomasson of Monroe; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
