Ula May "Susie" Herwehe, 75, of Newton I died Friday, Nov. 28, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. The body will be cremated following the service. A private family burial will be held at Newton Union Cemetery.

Friends may call Sunday from 1 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home where the family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials will be accepted in her name and may be left at the funeral home.

The daughter of Willard and Opal (Birkenholtz) Wilson, she was born Feb. 9, 1928, in Monroe. She graduated from Monroe High School. On Sept. 12, 1945, she married Carol R Herwehe in Knoxville. She worked in the silk screening department of the Vernon Company for more than 30 years and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include a son, Jack Herwehe of Newton; three grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Joann Wilson of Kerrville, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
