GRINNELL - Minnie Ellen Delk, 97, of Grinnell, formerly of Jasper County, died Saturday, Jan. 18, at St. Francis Manor in Grinnell.

The body was cremated and no local services will be held. Burial will be at a later date at Sharp Cemetery in Jamestown, Tenn.

The daughter of Joe and Amanda Sharp, she was horn Nov. 25, 1905, in Pall Mall, Tenn. She moved to Kellogg in 1953, Newton in 1980 and Grinnell in 2002.

Survivors include a son, Joe Delk of Newton; one sister; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers, seven sisters and a
great-grandson.
