Jeanette DeBruin, 91, of Sun City Center, Fla., formerly of Sully, died Saturday, Dec. 27, at the Cypress Creek Assisted Living Home in Sun City Center, Fla.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 3, at 10:30 a.m. at the Berean Baptist Church in Pella. Visitation will begin after 3 p.m. Friday at the Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Pella where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Pella.

The daughter of Nickolas and Ida (Van Howeling) TerLouw, Mrs. DeBruin was born May 22, 1912, near Sully. In 1918, her family moved southeast of Pella, where she attended and graduated from Pleasant View School. On Jan. 30, 1936, she married Marion DeBruin. They lived on farms southeast of Pella until 1971, when they moved to Pella.

Mrs. DeBruin was an active member of COC Auxiliary, Hilltop Manor and Hospital Auxiliary. In March 2002, she moved to Sun City Center, Fla., where she resided until her death.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Gene DeLawter of Sun City Center, Fla.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Elmer and Sharon of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Clarence of Spokane, Wash.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister and brother-in-law, Nellie and Richard VanRoekel.

She was preceded by her parents; her husband; a brother, Gysbert; a sister, Stella Boot; and a grandson-in-law.
