Mrs. Elza Nolin Funeral Planned For Friday
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Tools Chapel church for Mrs. Elza Nolin, life-long resident of the Monroe and Reasnor communities. Mrs. Nolin died unexpectedly at her Monroe home Wednesday at the age of 73.
The Rev. James Sloan will officiate at the service with the Rev. Richard Viney assisting. Interment will be at Fairview cemetery.
Obituary
Anna Dora Hoft, daughter of John and Reka Hoft, was born near Reasnor, June 10, 1880, and passed away October 21, 1953.
As a child, she joined the Lutheran church. On March 23, 1898, she was united in marriage with Elza Nolin. To this union six children were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons who died in infancy.
Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mabel, and three sons, Roy, John and Lloyd, all of Monroe, as well as 10 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Mary Bell, Monroe, Mrs. Ed McCuen and Mrs. Arthur Nolin of Newton, a brother, Ed Hoft of Newton, and a host of relatives and friends who will greatly miss her friendly smile and cheery greeting and willingness to help in any way at any time.
She was a kind, considerate and loving wife and mother, beloved by all who knew her.
