Cordova News (by Mrs. Roy Karr) – Our hearts were saddened by the news of the death of Grace McKee Wormhoudt, wife of Henry E. Wormhoudt of Pella on Saturday, August 4. Her funeral was conducted on Tuesday in Pella and burial in Monroe Cemetery. She was one of my new friends of six or seven years.
She leaves to mourn her death a sister, Mrs. Florence Fisher in Monroe. A brother, Frank McKee, preceded her in death. He was my uncle, that’s how we became friends. These notes of her life are just my own and incomplete but because Mrs. Wormhoudt was such a patient soul throughout all the many years she was confined to a wheel chair I thought it should be a lesson to us less patient folks to remember her.
