Mrs. M. K. Heemstra Dies Suddenly
Heart Attack is Fatal to Estimable Woman, Hold Funeral Today
Monday forenoon, about 11:30 o’clock while Mrs. M. K. Heemstra residing east of Monroe was picking strawberries in her garden she was seized with a heart attack and dropped dead. Although she had been in declining health for some time, her death came as a great shock to her relatives and friends.
Mrs. Heemstra was a good woman and was held in high esteem in the community where she lived and in other places where she was known.
Funeral Today
Mrs. Heemstra’s age was 79 years, 1 month and 7 days. Her husband died 17 years ago. She leaves three daughters and two sons and other relatives to mourn her departure.
Funeral services are being held this afternoon at 1:00 o’clock at the home and 2:00 o’clock at the Otley Reformed church, Rev. R. D Douwstra officiating. Interment will be in the Monroe cemetery.
