Mrs. Poortinga had been sick a great share of her life and the last few months she was confined to her bed. She confessed faith in her saviour before He took away her life on Earth. Rev. Vander Ploeg took as his text the 18th verse of the 14th chapter of John: “I will not leave you comfortless; I will come to you.” Two thoughts from Rozenboom’s sermon were “Covet assurance of pardon and peace, if we have faith” and “Our time is appointed.”
