David Franklin, son of Abraham and Mary Rexroat, was born at Reasnor, Iowa, May 31, 1876, and passed away at his home at Pella, Iowa, April 15, 1938, at the age of 62 years, 10 months and 15 days. Frank, as he was better known to his host of friends and relatives, was united in marriage to Minnie Sarah Strahn on November 8, 1900.
He leaves to mourn his death his beloved wife and seven living children and seven grandchildren. The children are as follows: Mrs. Freda Nolin of Reasnor; Mrs. Marguerite Den Hoedt of Newton; Mrs. Helen Waits of Lacona; David of Altoona; and Walter, Donald and Fern at home. One child preceded him in death, dying in infancy.
He also leaves to mourn his death his brothers and sisters: Mrs. George Lust of Reasnor, Kemper and Mrs. Glen McKee of Newton, Mrs. Albert Noon, Mrs. Ed Lust and Merrill of Monroe; Bert of Iowa City, and Mrs. Pearl Canfield of Grimes. One sister, Mrs. Ed Short preceded him in death.
Frank Rexroat was a very loving and faithful husband and father. No sacrifice was too great for his family and friends. Frank will be missed in his family circle as well as by a host of friends and neighbors.
