Sam Campbell Dies Monday
Sam K. Campbell, 1023 Second street, died at his home at 4 p.m. Monday of a heart ailment. He was 77.
His funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Union Chapel near Ira, and burial will be in the Union Chapel cemetery.
Born Sept. 2, 1875, Mr. Campbell moved from his birthplace, Tipton county, Ind., to Jasper county when only three months old. He came to Ames to make his home two years ago. He is a retired farmer. Mr. Campbell was a member of the Methodist church at Ira.
Survivors are two rothers, William of Nevada and Ira J. of Independence, and two sisters, Emma Eckles and Esther Smith of Ames.
