Gary Hopkins, 23, of Newton, former longtime Baxter resident, was killed in a truck accident near Clarksville, Ark., Friday.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Bethany United Church of Christ east of Baxter.
The Rev. Jerry Stevenson, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.
Memorials may be left at the Boyd-Davis Funeral Home in Baxter.
Survivors are his wife, Ginger, a son, Joel Otis Hopkins; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hopkins of Baxter; a sister, Mrs. William (Susan) Perisho of Bondurant; and two brothers, Douglas and Jeffrey, both of Baxter.
He was preceded in death by a grandfather.
Mr. Hopkins was a member of the Bethany United Church of Christ.
A trucker, he was a member of the Teamsters Union.
The son of Kenneth and Phyllis Herzog Hopkins, he was born March 8, 1960 at Marshalltown.
He was raised and educated in Baxter and was a 1978 graduate of Baxter Community High School.
He was married to Ginger Walker April 18, 1981.
