Banker, 73, Colfax, Dies
Colfax – Frank Gagle, sr., 73, vice-president of the Colfax National bank, died at his home at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday of heart trouble and complications.
A lifelong resident of the county, Mr. Gagle was a prominent farmer and stockman and had taken active part in the civic affairs of Colfax. He had also served as director of the bank there.
Mr. Gagle was a member of the Masonic lodge, Shrine temple and was a former Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star. He had been a faithful worker in the Presbyterian church of which he had been a lifelong member.
His large farm is located two miles north of Colfax.
Surviving relatives are his widow, a son, Frank Gagle, jr., of Colfax, a daughter, Mrs. Grace Williams of near Collins, a sister, Miss Vinnie Gagle of Colfax and a brother, Will of Great Falls, Mont. The latter came several weeks ago and was with his brother at the time of his death. There are also six grandchildren surviving.
Funeral arrangements were being made today.
