H. Weithers Dies Today
Henry Weithers, 70, formerly of Collins, died this morning at 6 o’clock of heart trouble. He had been ill about three weeks, his attending physician said. Mr. Weithers lived in the George Sanders home at 425 East Third Street South.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Murdoch Funeral home. Burial will be in the Newton Union cemetery.
Born in Louisville, Ky., on Jan. 19, 1869, he had made his home in and around Collins before coming to Newton about six years ago.
Surviving relatives are five children; Mrs. Roy Burt, Mrs. Leona Jontz and Henry, Jr., all of Colfax, Harry of Des Moines and Mrs. Bertha Shuey of Collins; also 18 grandchildren.
