Colfax – Maude I. Lewis, 74, of Colfax died of heart failure Saturday, Nov. 16, at her home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. Burial will be at McKeever Cemetery in Colfax.
Friends may call today at the funeral home where the family will be available from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorials will be accepted to the Full Faith of Love Church in Shawnee, Kan., or to the Colfax Fire Department.
The daughter of William John Lewis Sr. and Kathryn (Logan) Lewis, she was born Sept. 29, 1926, in Colfax. She graduated from Colfax High School in 1944. She worked in the billing department for Sprint Phone Company in Kansas City. Miss Lewis was a member of the Full Faith of Love Church, Lioness Club, Telephone Pioneers of America and American Business Women’s Association.
Survivors include two brothers, Charles and Richard Lewis of Colfax and one sister, Betty Lewis of Colfax.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
