Colfax – Funeral services for Anna Dluhos Kvasny, 95, a longtime resident of Colfax, will be held at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. John McKinstry, pastor of the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax, will conduct services.
Burial will be in McKeever Cemetery north of Colfax.
Friends may call after noon Wednesday at the funeral home and visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials to the American Heart Association or the Easter Seal Society may be left at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kvasny died Monday at the home of a daughter in Bettendorf.
Survivors are three daughters, Julia (Mrs. Arthur) Heimann of Grinnell, Norma (Mrs. Walter) Rindler of Bettendorf and Vivian Battles of Colfax; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is a brother, Edward Dluhos Jr. of Waukegan, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Emanual, three brothers and two sisters.
A homemaker, Mrs. Kvasny was a member of the Birthday Club.
The daughter of Edward and Agnes Mraskova Dluhos, she was born June 6, 1897 in Moraveska-Osrava, Czechoslovakia.
She came to the United States from Czechoslovakia at the age of 20.
She was married to Emanual Kvasny Oct. 15, 1921 in Des Moines.
