Colfax – Wilma V. Hill, 70, of Colfax died Sunday, Sept. 30 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Colfax First Baptist Church in Colfax with the Rev. Phil Butler and the Rev. Dan DuRocher officiating. Burial will be at McKeever Cemetery in Colfax. Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax is handling arrangements.
Friends may call after noon Tuesday at the funeral home where family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials will be accepted to First Baptist church or the Diabetes Association.
The daughter of Faye Eugene and Margaret Lynch Pierce, she was born Feb. 2, 1931, in Blairstown. She graduated from Colfax High School in 1950 and also received medical aid training.
On March 10, 1951, she married Harold G. Hill in Forest Park, Ga. She was a lifelong resident of the Colfax area. She worked as a medical aid at Clearview Manor and was retired. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Colfax.
Survivors include her husband; a son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Kristi of Colfax; two daughters and a son-in-law, LeaVonne Hill of Colfax and Deb and Jim Seieroe of Colfax; four grandchildren; two sisters, Gertrude Warrick and Irene Warrick, both of Colfax; and three brothers, Melvin Pierce of Mitchellville and Leonard and Willis Pierce, both of Colfax.
She was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers.
