Colfax – Opal L. Cadman, 83, a longtime resident of the Valeria and Colfax communities, died Monday, Feb. 10, at the Skiff Medical Center in Newton.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. Clayton Sugg, pastor of the Colfax Presbyterian Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in McKeever Cemetery, north of Colfax.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon today. Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association will be accepted.
Survivors are her husband, Lloyd; a son, Robert Morton of Rhodes; three daughters, Rena Martin, Barbara (Mrs. Le Roy) Borts and Betty (Mrs. Thomas) Owens, all of Colfax; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are a sister, Viva Musgrove of Oly, Wash.; and a brother, Thurman Simpson of Carlisle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Perry, three brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Cadman was a homemaker.
She was born Feb 9, 1909 at Tipperary in Lucas County.
She was married to Ellis Morton, to Warren Ayres, who died in 1941, and to Lloyd Cadman June 29, 1946.
