Kenneth L. Bryant, age 55, of Audubon died Saturday, May 3, 1997, at the Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.
Graveside services were held at McKeever Cemetery in Colfax at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, with the Rev. Jill Flyr, pastor of the Colfax United Methodist Church, officiating.
Mr. Bryant was born at Iowa City September 20, 1941, the son of Ralph and Audrey Northup Bryant. A graduate of the Tama High School, he was united in marriage to Georgena Lewis on December 30, 1961, at Colfax.
Mr. Bryant was in the grocery business for many years, most recently owning and operating a store in Audubon the past 12 years.
Survivors are his wife, Georgena; six children, Jim Lenox of Kansas City, Kim Wood of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Melvin Lenox of Fort Dodge, Rick Lenox of Council Bluffs, Christy Bryant of Council Bluffs and Wendy Bryant of Kansas City; 13 grandchildren; his mother, Audrey Bryant of Battle Creek, Iowa; a brother, Sherman Bryant, and a sister, Elaine Gunderson, both of Denison.
Preceding him in death was his father.
