James Arthur Pearson, Jr., age 71, of Bristol, Tenn., passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at his residence. He was born November 12, 1948 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa a son of the late James and Lois Gibbs Pearson. He was a U.S. Marine Corps. Veteran and served in Vietnam. James retired from Bi-Lo and lived in the Bristol area for the past 22 years.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Kay Trinkle Pearson; children, Michael Lee Pearson, Jennifer Kay Sanders, Dana Christine Cockrell; grandchildren, Brooke Pearson, Nicholas Pearson, Clay Cockrell, Ryan Cockrell, Miranda Sanders and Jordan Sanders,

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
