Margaret Louise Gannon, 77, died at home October 17, 1996 of complications from diabetes. The body will be cremated and private burial will be at a later date.
Margaret was born in rural Colfax and spent her life in the area. She was a 1936 graduate of Colfax High School, and retired from the Art Department of Vernon Company in 1980.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Paul of Colfax; two daughters, Patricia Holdmeyer of Colfax and Nina Gannon of Iowa City, two sons, Dennis of Lyndon, KS and Brian of Johnston; two brothers, Joseph Slatkoski and Arthur Slatkoski, both of Colfax; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Gannon. Memorial contributions may be made to Jasper County Unit of American Cancer Society in care of Loan Closet Equipment or the Jasper County Public Health Nursing Services.
