Milo W. Lamb, 85, of Colfax died of Alzheimer’s disease Friday, December 1, 2000 at Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. Services were held Tuesday, December 5 at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax, with burial at McKeever Cemetery in Colfax.
Mr. Lamb was born in Madrid, Iowa, August 24, 1915, the son of William W. and Rebecca (Warden) Lamb. He was united in marriage to Anna Mae Olson on July 22, 1931. He had worked for Maytag Corporation in Newton for thirty years before retiring and was a Navy veteran of World War II, where he had served in the South Pacific. He was a member and a past master of the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Mary Lamb of Colfax, a daughter-in-law, Rosemary (Mrs. Omer) Lamb of Mingo, a sister, Genevieve Long of Burlington; and several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna. Also preceding him were his parents, a daughter Betty, two sons, Billy and Omer, two sisters Rachel and Daisy Mae, and two brothers Herschel and Forrest.
