Alice C. Evans, age 82, died Sunday, March 17, 1996, at Jenkins Living Center in Watertown, South Dakota.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, March 27, at the United Methodist church, with the Rev. Jill Flyr and the Rev. Michael Orthel officiating. Interment took place at McKeever Cemetery in Colfax.
Surviving are one daughter, Lynda (Mrs. Vince) Bongatti of Campbell, California; and one son, Rick Evans, and his wife Robin, of Watertown, South Dakota; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank in 1994, and two sisters, Gladys and Ollie.
A member of the Colfax United Methodist Church, Mrs. Evans had worked at Pratt’s Flowers and Gift and George’s Jewelry for many years.
She was born on December 6, 1913, the daughter of William Ollie and Kit Gibson Williams.
Alice came to the Colfax area at an early age and graduated from Mingo High School.
She was united in marriage to Frank W. Evans on March 7, 1936 in Des Moines.
